Heather Wolf is the Founder, Director and Lead Teacher at Tallulah Montessori. At a very young age, she became aware that her life's work would be to work with and nurture children. She has been working professionally with children since 1998 and has been teaching within the Montessori curriculum since 2000.
After graduating from Kent State with a degree in Family Studies, she discovered and was amazed by the Montessori teaching philosophy. She enrolled into the American Montessori Institute ("AMI") training course in Atlanta and after completing the training, taught a Primary Class at Old Peachtree Montessori for three years.
She took a break from teaching in order to birth her daughter, Reanna. When her family moved to Atlanta’s west side, she became aware that there were no Montessori schools nearby and so decided to provide the area with a loving and enriching Montessori environment.
Heather founded Tallulah Montessori School in 2009. Utilizing the lower level of her family’s home, she opened the school with five children in attendance. With a capacity of only eight children, the little home school quickly became outgrown. A variance could not be attained in order to allow for more children in the home-based school, so the Wolf’s began looking to lease property elsewhere.
In 2012, Tallulah leased the parishioner’s house on the premises of First Baptist Church of Chattahoochee on Atlanta’s west side, where it currently operates in the quaint, 1,400 square foot house located at:
In May 2019, Tallulah Montessori School, LLC transitioned to become a schedule 501(c)(3) charitable organization as Tallulah Montessori School of Atlanta.
