Primary Program

Tallulah Montessori provides half-day and full-day programs.  All students will receive a nutritious morning snack. Snacks will consist of  fruit, vegetables or whole grains. The half-day students' day ends at 12:30 p.m. after lunch. Full-day students will stay for lunch, rest time, afternoon circle time, and afternoon playtime. The school day ends at 3:00 p.m.

Full-day students, that are under 5 years old, will be provided with a cot and sheet.  A blanket, which is permanently labeled with your child’s name will be brought and kept at school. Sheets and blankets will be laundered once a week at school. All students must be potty trained and bathroom independent.

Children ages 5 and 6 will complete their school day with an academic afternoon program. This part of the day will concentrate on the more in-depth and higher-end academic lessons. These lessons will include but are not limited to: function of words, exploring the four operations of math with the the decimal system, geography study, and science experiments. Holding true to the Montessori philosophy, this work is done with manipulative and interesting materials.
